In the interest of transparency and to help educate and empower our current and future clients, we wanted to share the top questions our clients have been asking about East Beach Wealth Solutions:

1. Why did EBWS choose a broker-dealer affiliation with LPL Financial?

The number one reason is that we believe an affiliation with LPL is in our clients’ best interests.  After considerable due diligence and research regarding potential broker dealers, we selected LPL Financial. LPL is a leader in the retail financial advice market and the nation’s largest independent broker-dealer based on total revenues.* Its leadership is committed to providing innovative, customizable, integrated technology and robust resources to enhance our relationship with clients and support our vision. 3. How will the technology with EBWS be different than what I am used to?

Keeping tabs on your financial life should be as easy as checking your smartphone or laptop. This is why in the coming year, we are working towards a truly integrated technology approach, which will enable clients to access their financial plan, investment performance and cash flow at any time from their mobile device or laptop. In addition, rather than being limited to whatever technology other wealth management firms impose on their advisors, we are able to choose dynamic and comprehensive technology partners to meet the changing needs and expectations of our clients with an exceptional digital experience.

 

4. What new planning technology will you use?

EBWS prides itself on providing comprehensive and personalized financial plans for our clients. Our new planning software partner, eMoney, is a leading comprehensive financial planning technology that is significantly more robust than the planning software used by many other firms.

eMoney’s collaborative wealth management platform enables our team to work together more efficiently with you, your other professional advisors, and family members.  You have access anytime, anywhere, on any device. Rather than calling to learn where you stand regarding your financial plan, values will be automatically updated and available in real time.  You can do scenario planning, communicate with your advisory team on the go, and have better transparency and relevant tracking alerts. You will experience greater clarity progress towards your family’s wealth goals.

5. What new resources will you have available that will better serve my family?

Our clients now have access to multiple resources:

  • Alternative Investments

  • Automated investment and planning solutions for second and third generation family members.

  • Access to institutional lending services through Goldman Sachs and other strategic partners.*

6. What about fees?

One of the reasons for selecting LPL was to find a custodian partner with whom we could achieve better pricing for our clients.  Many clients will experience lower fees as a result. Most importantly, new technology enables us to achieve operational efficiencies that afford us the ability to offer a more competitive fee schedule while enhancing the client experience. 

 

7. Can EBWS assist with the insurance products I have with other companies?

 

At EBWS, we believe a sound financial plan must first insure against what can go wrong in order to have the luxury of investing for what can go right. Many of our clients have already addressed their risk management needs with products from various insurance companies.  For those that haven't, we have access to a wide range of insurance solutions and will determine the best options together with our clients. When clients have existing coverage in place, we generally expect to maintain these policies. However, should circumstances change in the future such that considering alternative risk products or cancelling coverage is in our clients' best interest, we will evaluate the options at that time. To the extent that we can assume responsibility for servicing our clients' insurance policies, we are pleased to do so. If this is not possible, we will liaise with the insurance representative at the respective company to ensure your policies are managed properly and in-line with your overall financial plan.

8. What is your philosophy and approach to financial planning and investing*?

EBWS believes in the long-term efficiency of the capital markets, but recognizes that different phases of the market cycle can provide opportunities if properly acted on. While we strive to generate excess returns for clients, we believe a well-diversified and low internal-cost portfolio is generally the best way to achieve superior returns over time. Our planning approach seeks to leverage 'advisor alpha' to help our clients make wise financial decisions consistently over time. In our experience, the value of financial planning and the strategies we employ often far outweigh the beneifts from excess returns generated from investments alone.
